Aj Ryans walked through the barrier that divided the magical world and muggle world completely. She was glad to be going back to school but there was one thing that she wasn't as pleased about. It wasn't that she hated her step-sister, hate would be too strong of a word. She more or less disliked her. She always tried to be something she wasn't, which was no way to live at all.
Aj pushed her cart to the train and spotted an empty compartment so she headed towards the section of the train it was in. Quickly she pushed her trunk aboard along with the rest of her stuff and put it where it belonged on the shelf above.
Slowly she took a seat so she could watch the on comers that passed through the barrier later then her. She hadn't seen a sign of her step-sister which made her ansy. She would have to see her around Hogwarts sooner or later and she would almost rather it be sooner. That way she wouldn't have to worry about running into her when she wasn't expecting it. She always would be expecting it.
Aj gave a sigh and let her head rest against the wall behind her as she closed her eyes. Good thing she was able to find a compartment early and so far had it alone and to herself.

Kelli hugged her dear grandfather good-bye before she crossed the barrier, she had tears in her eyes, parting from her family had always been hard on her and to make matters worse her father, the person she loved most in the world, wasn't there to say goodbye "Tell father that I said goodbye, will you Ben?" she asked trying her best to sound composed, her grandfather would not put up with childlike behavior.. Her grandfather agreed and kissed her forehead, sending her on through the barrier.
Coming through the barrier to the wizarding world wasn't new to Kelli at all but she was always astonished that she made it through when she got to the opposite side. She smiled and looked around, other parents were seeing their children off and students ran helter-skelter about.. she took a deep breath and walked up to the train "Well i hope i can find a seat. " she said to no one in particular..
She looked down the long hallway seeing a compartment that looked empty she walked up to it briskly and opened the sliding door.. "OH. I'm so sorry to barge in on you..but " she said seeing that the compartment was empty but it held one girl..Kelli thought she had seen her before, was she a ravenclaw? " would you mind terribly if i sat with you..all of the compartments seem to be full..?" she finished with a smile...

Aj's attention turned to the new girl that was standing in the doorway. Her first fear was it was Katie, but seeing her golden hair her fears went away. She slowly relaxed before giving a nod as her answer. She had seen this girl before somewhere, Hufflepuff...yes that was it.
She once again rested her head against the back of the wall as the girl did what she wanted to get settled. "I know the house you are in, but your name has escaped me," she said more out of the blue. "I'm Aj Ryans just in case you don't know me." She wasn't expecting her to know her after all she wasn't truly known.
She brought her feet up to sit cross legged and smiled shortly at her before turning her gaze to the people saying their last goodbyes. She hadn't even gotten to say a goodbye to anybody. Her father had been to busy, her step-mum was off god knows where. The only hint of a goodbye was the slap on the back from her step-brother. What a great way to say have a great year at Hogwarts.

She smiled as the Ravenclaw nodded great a seat she thought as she sat down on the hard seat. Looking toward the girl as she introduced her self "oh, you know my house?"she questioned but forgetting about that she introduced herself "my name is Kelli Rose, have we met before?" she had recognized the girl but the name just didn't seem familiar..
She sighed and followed the girls gaze out the window, the families were all saying their goodbyes "Are any of them yours?" she asked giving a small nod out the window at the hugging families, she wished that she was still out there with her father, oh how she would miss him during the year, suddenly she felt the tears tempting to fall from her eyes, but she wouldn't allow it, wiping her eyes she looked back the Aj, she looked a little down..

"Supposedly my step-sister is out there somewhere," Aj answered looking over and noticing the tear that had started down Kelli's face. "I haven't had the," she stopped thinking of a word to fill the void. "Pleasure of meeting her," she finished struggling over the word she had choosen to replace hatrid.
She didn't understand all the emotion to going away to school. She had once been close to her father true and hated leaving, but once she got to Hogwarts going back home was the farthest thing from her mind. Infact she pretty much lost all contact with home and continued to be involved in her studies and such forth. Her few friends and her clubs. She was never much of a quidditch player.
"Sorry I almsot forgot your earlier question," she said a smirk on her face. "I suppose we have met somewhere before for me to know your face and house. Just I guess it was such a brief..." she trailed off finally thinking where she knew her from. "You took Mythology last year did you not?"

" Why..come to think of it.." she stopped to think before she continued, "I did take mythology last year." She wondered how the ravenclaw had known..but then it clicked, she had taken classes with the pretty girl last year, she smiled she had nothing anything against her, or she would have remembered.
" how, i wish i had a sister" she remarked going back to the comment Aj had made before.." We would have so much fun together, make overs.." she sighed and went on with her daydreaming for a little bit before catching herself, "oh..I'm sorry, was i rambling again?" she asked looking toward Aj , she had a tendency of doing that she knew her grandfather wouldn't approve.
She shook her head she needed to get out of the habit of doing as her grandfather bid, at least if she wanted to do some serious pranking this year. Pranking was one of Kelli's own traditions at Hogwarts, she loved it..

Aj gave a short chuckle. "Me and Katie are far from make-overs and all that girly talk stuff," Aj said with a sigh. "A part of me wishes she would just give me a chance, but another part says there isn't a chance." She gave a shake of her head and brushed her long hair off of her face.
"I truly have nothing against her I just suppose we were never given that chance to properly get to know each other. She had been away at an all girls American witch school and I was here. I hardley knew my step-family until the day I was told my dad had proposed and she said yes.
"It's not that I didn't want him to be happy but without any warning well it is kind of hard to just say this is your new family love them. You know?" she asked but didn't continue talking. She had surly wanted to tell someone all this for a while but why was she telling Kelli? A girl she just met. She seemed nice, and a good person, for that matter, but she didn't know her. It was like the letter she wrote to Gabby....she just didn't know why.
