 Much to Hot Out.
« Thread Started on Sept 30, 2005, 4:03am »

It was unnaturally warm outside, not to hot over all really, but much to hot for the season, and certainly to hot for a certain Malfoy.

He looked dreadfully peeved, with his tousseled blode hair falling over his eyes, and the sleeves of his tailered black button-up rolled messily into a bunch at the middle of his forearms. He would of rolled them up further, but decided against it, choosing, wisely enough, to keep his secret today. He wasn't in the mood to fight off the paper or curious glances of passerbyers who couldn't keep their noises in their own shopping.

Growling darkly, the littlest Malfoy ducked into a shop nearby in the alley, forgetting where he had been going, and just wishing for a refuge from the heat.

Wiping sweat off his forehead that wasn't actually there, Draco gracefully caught his breath and regained his composure, straightening up his back and brushing the hair from his astonishing gray eyes as he looked about the shop, realizing it was a Dark Potions Shop.

Well, location considered, there where definitly many many worse places he could of landed. This had seemed like a skillful move indeed.

Kelli wiped the sweat off of her head and lifted her golden blonde hair off the back of her neck before putting it into a loose, messy bun. She had spent so much time this morning curling, that she almost felt apologetic putting it up!

It was a dreadfully hot day and she needed to get out of the heat. Slowly without looking where she was going she wandered into the dark potions shop. It wasn't much better than outside but it was a shelter from the scorching sun..Gasping a bit, she realized where she was, but with a small grin she siad to her self "well.. as long as I'm in here it cant hurt to look around.." With a smile she thought of what her grandfather would say, 'Why Kelli, you shouldn't be in this place..It isn't fit for a lady..'

She had grown up with her extremely wealthy grandfather and her father, and together they had tried to make her into the best and most elegant young lady eve buying her whatever she wanted whenever she wanted itr. They succeeded for all of her life, but this year was different, she was in the modern maurders and she was trying to pull away from her lady-like manners..

After a bit of looking around she decided she had better leave, walking toward the door she bumped into a tall blonde young man with such force that she fell to the ground. She dropped to the ground as did her purse and all of her belongings inside it.

Quickly she stole a glance at the man she had so forcefully bumped into, she had never sen him before, he looked as if he had just graduated from Hogwarts, when Kelli realized that she had been staring, it was much to late, she was sure that he would have noticed he staring.

Quickly she looked back down to her belongings she tried to gather them all up but it seemed that there was a never ending supply of makeup and other girl suff rolling out of the large purse..

Draco, who was about to take a step further into the shop, felt Kelli collide into his chest and stumbled back rather ungracefully a step before reaching out a hand to rest on a side counter to steady himself.

Once the little Malfoy had regained his composure, he directed his gaze down at Kelli and sneered. He was about to say something snide before a few makeup extra's rolled into his boot. He simply pushed them back in her direction with the side of his foot, instead of actually picking anything up, like he had been instructed to do as a gentleman.

Noting how much makeup the girl really had, his sneer folded into a snide smirk before his lips parted and he spoke up. "Makes one think you look like a Dragon to begin with." He oozed with a snicker before side-stepping to get out of the way of more rolling makeup and from the door.

Once Kelli had gathered up all of her make up, and amazingly stuffed it all back into her bag. the tall man had said something Makes one think you look like a Dragon to begin with he said. Kelli looked at him, before grabbing her last two lip glosses that had somehow escaped her eye.She held back a small smile, before saying " This place.." she nodded at the store behind he as she pushed herself off the ground "makes one think that you have the heart of a dragon" she finished before dusting off her bare knees.

Standing upright, she looked into the not-so-much-of-a-gentleman's eyes, it had been a 'horrid' habit that she had for the longest time, suddenly curiosity struck her, she needed to know his name. Smiling she stuck her hand out "I'm Kelli Rose..." she looked at her French manicured finger nails, "and you are?"

"It's entirelyp lausible that I might." He replied, leaning so casually against the counter that he had before used to steady himself. Smirking at their conversation of Dragons, he noted the translation of his own very name.

Dragon. Dragon of Bad Faith.

And as the girl stuck outher hand, Draco frowned. Normally, upon introducing himself, there was a great deal of show. Kissing of hands and his deployed French accent. But this girl was obviously a student of Hogwarts, and...a Hufflepuff. He was not going to touch her.

So instead, he released his last name and deemed it just as sufficent as his first. "Malfoy"

Kelli raised her eyebrows and dropped her hand at the sound of his name, she was sure she had heard it before, her father and grandfather had talked about the Malfoys. Being, well, that both families were considerably wealthy and the man's parents had been to her home for balls and such...

"Well its a pleasure to meet you...Malfoy.." she said after a short quite time, remembering her manners. Tucking a rebellious bonde curl behind her ear she scanned her head for something to say....

((OMG! lol I'm really sorry, i have a dreadful case of writers block and i cant seem to come up with anything creative at all ^.^ .oh, is it ok i made Draco's parents and Kelli's know each other?))

{Yeah It's fine XD}

Draco just nodded polietly, but found himself cringing at the use of his last name. He had forgotten hos much he hated it. He hated the ties it brought up, his overly-done Heritage, and he just hated the sound. The slithering noise of the very letters made his spine roll.

"Draco." He corrected in just a single word, and eased up, defintily prefering his first to his surname. But he was still not going to offer up any more politeness to the girl. After all, what had she done to deserve any?

{Ack. Short...}

"Draco?..Well it's been a pleasure Draco--" she said curtly as she turned on her heel to leave, but then suddendly stoping. Turning back around she looked at Draco, her memory flooding back to her."You wouldn't be Draco, the son of Lucius and Narcrissa? Would you?" she asked uncertainly.

The name Draco Malfoy had suddenly rung a small little bell in her head, now she remembered, the Malfoys, They were good friends of her father and had often been to the Rose Chateau, in France. Kelli of course had her suspicions about the pureblood family, but Mr. Malfoy being one of her fathers close friends, it would be considered rude to make any, whether proved or not, assumptions about them. They had seemed a little dark and sly, when Kelli had seen them, and from what she could see, their son wasnt much different, but differences can always occur.

"...Never heard of them..."

He wanted to reply. He wished desperatly to say no, that he'd never known such people. But of course, something swam around in his stomach, and his lips were already forming the counter string of words

"That I am." Draco said with gritted teeth and a curt nod, "What buisness do you have with my parents?" Inwardly, the old Prince scoffed, wondering how long it had been since he'd called them his 'parents'. He generally just used their first names, and certianly never said..

"Mom" or "Dad"...

Never heard of them.

"Oh, they are good friends with my Father, Anthony Rose..maybe you have heard of him?" She smiled, although Draco looked rather sullen, but why? She thought briefly about why he could be so sullen.. Maybe it was his parents; Maybe I should change the subject she thought, before deciding to go with the age old topic, the whether.

She leaned back slightly against the counter behind her, sighing. "Ohh.." she slung her head back, before continuing "I dont think that this day could get any hotter!" she exclaimed suddenly, fanning herself off with her hand. Usually on a day this hot she would be out swimming, or at least tanning..

((ahhhh!!! Too short!))

Draco paused to consider the name before speaking once more rather snidely. "Doesn't ring any sort of bell." His fahter had ot many "connections" and "associates" for the youngest Malfoy to possibly keep track off.

And as she started in about the Weather, he scoffed haughitily. It was obvious they had nothing left to say and so Draco nodded curtly once again, and looked over to the door, before turning to leave without even an attempted goodbye.
